Every family in the Texas Panhandle has a railroad story. Yours could become part of the museum. We're collecting memories, photographs, and documents from the community.
The best museums aren't built by curators in isolation — they're built by communities who trust their stories to be preserved and shared with care. We're looking for anything connected to the railroad history of the Texas Panhandle.
That could include family memories of working for the railroad, riding the train, or living near the tracks. Photographs of depots, trains, railroad workers, or the towns the railroads built. Documents like train orders, timetables, tickets, or employment records. Objects like lanterns, uniforms, badges, or tools.
You don't need to donate physical items — we're happy to scan or photograph materials and return them to you. And every contribution, no matter how small it seems, helps us build a more complete picture of what the railroads meant to this community.
Use the form to tell us what you have, and we'll follow up to discuss next steps. If you'd prefer to talk directly, contact us anytime.
